Reminiscing

As I was cleaning up my email folders I stumbled across a few old pictures that were taken with my friends at Resurrection. Most of these pictures were taken even before I became Mrs. Almeida.

I guess this is just a normal part of moving and saying good-bye. Resurrection is an incredibly special place for me as it is the place where I fell in love with the Lord, where I learned what it meant to "serve." The Lord also gave me one of his greatest gifts: my husband, Lucas at Resurrection. And it is the church where we chose to become one on December 17th, 2005. It is the place where we built special friendships. Resurrection will forever be in our hearts.

As for those friends at Resurrection who have become almost like a part of my family, I will miss you dearly. This has been the greatest leaps of faith Lucas and I have ever taken in our life together. However, we are confident that the Lord is taking us on a great journey...one that perhaps we are unable to fully see but one with great treasures in store for us. We are going joyfully because it is a privilege and a great honor to serve Him and expectanctly because we are looking forward to the amazing things He is going to do in and through us at Doral.

I can't wait to look back a year from today and see how far the Lord has brought each and everyone of us. I know there will be some of you will be getting married, others who will be finishing school and still others who will be in a completely new walk with Christ. It is my prayer that as Lucas and I go that each and every one of you at Resurrection will know just how much you mean to us but most importantly how much you mean to Christ. Keep giving Him all of you. As the ever so popular phrase goes, "Our life is a gift from God, what we do with that life is our gift to Him."

We love you!

Wow! Pictures do say a thousand words, it's amazing to see how life has changed and how God is using some of those in the pics you posted! I hope that this new phase in your life's God continues to use you for the greatness for his kingdom, and gives you the spiritual resources to continue his work!
<3, lots of blessings!
